Areas of Focus
With family roots in Hungary and a childhood in the Bavarian Forest, within walking distance of the Austrian-Czech border, I realised early on that it is often barriers in people's minds, rather than border fences, that prevent people from meeting and living together productively. Perhaps it is also partly the influence of my childhood and my student years in Passau, the City of Three Rivers, that motivates me to look at lives on the “margins” – geographically or socially – in the state capital of Munich.
Munich is where all the political and economic threads of our Free State come together, embedded in a 50-year network of partners in law, politics and society.
Together with my partner Katharina Camerer, I am at the heart of the migration team and invest energy, time and creativity in solving even the trickiest cases.
Involvement
Through my work with welfare associations, NGOs and associations through to state institutions, I not only stay informed about current developments but am also glad to help shape social and political processes in the interests of my clients.
