Pre-trial detention JVA Stadelheim
A relative or friend is currently in pre-trial detention at the Munich-Stadelheim Correctional Facility.
You have already made the right decision by hiring a lawyer to explore every possibility of securing an early release from custody. However, as long as pre-trial detention is unavoidable, you may wish to visit your relative or acquaintance. You would like to make their time there a little easier.
You can find some important information on this here:

Visitation appointments at JVA Stadelheim:
Only one visit every two weeks (30 minutes) is permitted by JVA Stadelheim (special visitation permits are only granted in exceptional cases for proven, important reasons).
Therefore, it is important that relatives and friends coordinate their visits and, if necessary, visit the inmate together. A maximum of 3 people are allowed to visit a prisoner.
Opening hours / Admission at JVA Stadelheim:
Monday – Thursday (excluding public holidays) from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Priority for working individuals: every 1st and 3rd Saturday (including public holidays) from 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM
A visitation permit must be requested for the visit. Visitation permits are issued by the public prosecutor's office. To find the correct office, you will need the case reference number for the proceedings against the accused. Experience shows that things are difficult without a reference number, especially since the facility does not provide sufficient information due to data protection regulations.
Since we know how much effort is involved in applying for a visitation permit, we are happy to handle this for our clients. Simply contact us by phone or in person.
If you arrive at the facility with a visitation permit (and ID card or passport!), there are a few things to keep in mind:
• The handover of items of any kind (including cigarettes and medication) is prohibited.
• Laundry can be dropped off at the gate for the prisoner (this does not apply if the prisoner is accused of a violation of the Narcotics Act).
• Medication, consumer goods, cigarettes, and literature will not be handed over to the prisoner for security reasons.
• Newspapers (e.g., a subscription) and other reading material must be ordered through publishers or bookstores and sent directly to the prisoner at the facility.
• The same applies to a TV set or a radio; these can only be requested through the payment office (cashier) of the facility.
• You will receive a separate information sheet with many regulations regarding holiday packages (e.g., Christmas packages) at JVA Stadelheim.
